Technical Studies- Electricity-Electrician Helper, Career Studies Certificate


Purpose

The Electricity Helper Career Studies Certificate (Plan Code 221-941-01) provides students with the foundation to become an effective electrical technician’s helper. This CSC is the first level of a three-level pathway to an Associate of Applied Science degree in Technical Studies. This provides students multiple access and completion opportunities so they can more quickly enter the workforce and further advance their knowledge and skills in the field of electricity.

Program Requirements and Special Conditions

Students must meet ESCC admission requirements. New students should see a counselor and returning students their advisor for more information.

Program Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Use electrical equipment safely and appropriately.
  • Apply National electrical code to industrial and residential wiring.
  • Apply fundamental electrical theory to electrical and industrial wiring.
