Purpose
The Automotive Trainee Career Studies Certificate (Plan Code 221-909-02) is designed for students in Accomack County Public School’s dual enrollment automotive program. Students are prepared for an entry-level position in an automotive repair facility.
Students enrolled in this Career Studies Certificate program may apply all credits earned to Tidewater Community College’s Associate of Applied Science degree in Automotive Technology.
Program Requirements and Special Conditions
Students must meet ESCC admission requirements. Students must also complete placement tests (or equivalent) in English and mathematics, and scores will be used for appropriate course placement. New students should see a high school counselor or ESCC career coach for more information.

- Demonstrate safe work habits related to the automotive repair industry.
- Perform basic tasks in an automotive repair facility.
