Purpose
The purpose of this Electricity Career Studies Certificate (Plan Code 221-941-02) is to build on the Electricity CSC, creating the second step in the pathway to an Associate of Applied Science degree. Additional classes have been added to develop the skills necessary for business application. Earned credits may be applied to some upper level studies in Career and Technical Programs.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Use electrical equipment safely and appropriately.
- Apply National Electrical Code to industrial and residential wiring.
- Apply fundamental electrical theory to electrical and industrial wiring.
- Think critically and use mathematical calculations.
- Communicate effectively.
