Purpose
The Industrial Technology Career Studies Certificate (CSC) (Plan Code 221-990-00) is designed to prepare students that are planning to work as Entry Level Technicians in industrial operations: building and maintaining equipment and systems that are controlled by electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical devices. The CSC starts a pathway to the Industrial Technology Certificate and the Associate in Applied Science degree.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Identify typical tools and uses of a variety of devices including precision measurement.
- Perform basic welding techniques.
- Use refrigeration knowledge as learned for EPA Certification.
- Assist in electrical tasks.
- Realize the importance of safety in the industrial environment.
- Understand principles of measurement and calibration.
