Commercial Driver’s License (A & B)

Class A CDL training prepares students to land an entry-level job operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle. Class A vehicles are defined as any combination of vehicles with GVWR (gross vehicle weight) of 26,001 or more pounds, provided the GVWR of the vehicles being towed are in excess of 10,000 pounds. Class B training allows the learner to drive a single vehicle with a GVWR of more than 26,001 pounds (ie, dump truck, mixer truck, tow truck, etc). Leads to Virginia Class A or B Drivers License.
