Liberal Arts, Associate of Arts


Purpose

The Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts (Plan Code 648) will prepare students to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree. Students should work closely with a counselor or advisor to select appropriate coursework in preparation for transfer to their intended major and college or university.

Program Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Explore, interpret, and represent the human experience through the humanities, liberal arts, and social sciences.
  • Read, write, and analyze effectively across a number of disciplines.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking by identifying, interpreting, and evaluating information and articulating logical conclusions in multiple academic disciplines.
