The Academic Affairs, Student Services, and Workforce Services units have developed sets of guiding prinicples so students know what to expect from staff and faculty and so students know what is expected of them in return.
Academic Affairs
The Academic Affairs unit adopted these Guiding Principles as the foundation for their service to students and to each other. The following principles face two ways, (1) inward as the standards students can expect Academic Affairs will hold themselves to and (2) outward as standards students should expect from themselves as Your Eastern Shore learners.

Student Services
Student Services considers itself a team and therefore values inclusiveness, integrity, and open communication among its members. We acknowledge that “one size does not fit all” and embrace diversity among ourselves and those we serve.
Workforce Services
Workforce Services provides options for learners of all ages that lead to productive, sustainable careers, contributing to the local economy in such a way that learners are compelled to seek continued improvement of their lives and job skills through Your Eastern Shore Community College.
