STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION (SGA)

The Student Government Association (SGA) is the official representative of the student body. All credit students may participate in SGA elections. Full-time and part-time students with a 2.50 GPA or higher are eligible to run for office (up to two part-time students may serve). The SGA organizes most student activities at the college, recommends student representation on major college committees, and consults with college officials on matters of concern to the student body.

ACTS 2:38 is a non-denominational, Christian-based organization.
The ACTS statement of faith is as follows: To support the body of believers at the Eastern Shore Community College and to further our knowledge of Christ and become closer to Him, while performing similar ACTS of Christ and the apostles such as service, prayer and fellowship.
PHI BETA LAMBDA (PBL)

The purpose of Phi Beta Lambda is to provide opportunities for post-secondary and college students to develop vocational competencies for business, office occupations, and business teacher education. Phi Beta Lambda is an integral part of the instructional program and, in addition, promotes a sense of civic and personal responsibility.
PHI THETA KAPPA (PTK)

Phi Theta Kappa is a national honor society for two-year colleges, which recognizes scholarship among associate degree students. Also, it provides opportunities for leadership, service and fellowship. To become a member of our Alpha Pi Chi chapter, a student must be enrolled in a regionally accredited institution offering an associate degree program, have accumulated full-time status (at least 12 hours) in courses leading to an associate degree, have established a grade point average of 3.20, be of good moral character, and possess recognized qualities of citizenship.

THE CHESS CLUB

The Chess Club is designed to provide friendly competition amongst ESCC students, faculty, and the overall community. The mission is to extend altruism to the community as well as welcome any and all who’d like to join. We share in the art of playing chess and promoting critical thinking skills. All skill levels are welcome to join.
THE VISUAL ARTS CLUB

To promote student creativity and talent in the visual arts. The club includes all forms of visual art such as photography, painting, sculpting etc. All students are welcome. We will participate in art shows to display student work. This club will meet periodically with advanced notice via email. Some meetings will be virtual; some will be face to face.
PSYCHOLOGY CLUB

To promote the practical consideration of psychological concepts. Students will participate in fundraisers, community events and field trips. All students are welcome.
