Career Services

The Career Services Center will serve as a constant comprehensive “hub” to provide comprehensive career development and support to all learners. The career services will supply “first hand” one on one counseling to students on cover letters, resume writing, mock interviews and internships. The center itself will serve as an oasis to embrace intriguing new aspects to the college such as Symplicity. Symplicity is a CSM (Career Services Manager). It is easily adaptable to any institution no matter the size. Symplicity connects college students to millions of employers at a fingertip on an easy-to-use platform.

In addition, a career assessment toolkit will be available for all “first-time” students as they enter the door of the college. Please contact the career services center via email careers@es.vccs.edu.

High School Career Coaches

Eastern Shore Community College has established a partnership with the local public-school systems to place Career Coaches in each public high school to serve as the college’s primary points of contact for students and their parents. These coaches work in cooperation with local career guidance/development offices and Career & Technical Education staff to provide enhanced career planning and training services, and to assist families in evaluating options as students’ progress towards graduation.
